Daylight Flora creates beautifully designed floral arrangements and installations to celebrate and honor people with a belief that flowers look best when magnifying human experiences.
In this 90 minute workshop, Daylight Flora co-owners and lead designers will take attendees through a step-by-step process of using elements of design such as color, texture, and shape to create whimsical and unique floral arrangements to photograph and take home. Attendees will learn floral design skills that can be used time and time again for gifts or designing floral elements for your own homes and spaces.
In order to acquire blooms for the event in a timely manner, interested individuals will need to register by APRIL 2 for this workshop. There are no refunds for this event.
With a background in theater, costume and set-design, Amy has always had a natural love for creating worlds that evoke emotion. Over the last decade, she’s spent her time in Kansas City honing her flower craft and design voice.
From early on, Amyann’s creative pursuits have been found in what she could make with her hands. From ceramics to leather work, sketching, painting and photography, she is “at home” in the world of fine arts.
Having merged their separate businesses in 2020, Amy and Amyann formed Daylight Flora, a fine-art floral design studio and shop that seeks to celebrate life’s big and small occasions through the medium of flowers. Their founding design philosophy is that "beautiful things don’t happen without beautiful people”.
You can find them in their studio/shop in Westport flowering and mom-ing.
