Nicole Satterwhite

Nicole joined Willoughby as a fresh-faced intern in 1996 and has never looked back. Now, Principal, Nicole has become a cornerstone of Willoughby’s world-class design team. A calm presence in a storm, her grace and polished demeanor guides our creative process with thoughtfulness, style, and a killer eye. She’s a fantastic mentor to our interns and young designers and a true partner in the creative journey.

Nicole specializes in creating brand identities and then translating them into numerous energetic and engaging touchpoints, including interiors, signage and sustainable accents such as wall coverings and furnishings. She has received numerous awards for her design work and been featured in publications such as Communication Arts, Print and Graphics. She was a founding board member of ArtsAlive and has been an instructor at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Nicole has worked in categories as varied as fashion, consumer packaged goods, restaurant, healthcare and is instrumental in all of our civic projects. Nicole can see the big picture before some of us have had our coffee. When not managing our design process, she manages a household of two kids, an architect, and a big dog.

Brad Satterwhite, Assoc. AIA

Brad Satterwhite is a co-founder and principal of KEM STUDIO and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED] accredited professional. He is continually intrigued and influenced by a holistic approach to design that blurs the lines between architecture, industrial design and art. Throughout all aspects of design, Brad believes in the power of a big idea, purity of form and material, economy, and clarity. Brad is the recipient of numerous design awards from the American Institute of Architects and AIA Kansas City Young Architects Forum. He has practiced in both the US and the UK and collaborated on projects with Moshe Safdie and Associates, KPF, Rockwell Group, and Pentagram.

René Bollier

René Bollier knew from a very young age that he wanted to be a confiseur just like his father, Marcel, and grandfather, André. He apprenticed by their sides, trained in Switzerland, and today is proud to be carrying on their legacies. René has immersed himself in the art of Swiss techniques. While honoring that tradition, he is known for bringing his personal passion, ingenuity and pride to create distinctive chocolate experiences. Nothing inspires him more than simply being in the kitchen, perfecting classic recipes and creating new ones for the incredible community that has made André’s a tradition for sixty years and counting.
